In plain language

  • Every project starts with a written quote with a fixed price and a written scope. A quote is valid for 30 days.
  • Projects are paid in two parts: a deposit at the start and the rest at delivery. Invoices are due 14 days net.
  • You own your domain, hosting and every account from day one. The code, designs and files I make for you become yours when the project is paid in full.
  • The quote says how many revision rounds are included. Extra rounds and changes outside the scope cost €95 an hour, agreed in writing before I start.
  • Licences, store fees, hosting and ad spend are paid by you, directly to the provider.
  • Monthly services can be ended with 30 days notice.
  • If you buy as a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by anything here.

This summary helps you read the terms; the full text below is what applies.

Who these terms are between

1.1These terms apply when you order a service from Pikselipolku: websites, online stores, SEO, ads management, 3D work, accessibility audits and fixes, Linux server work, mobile apps, custom software and integrations, and care plans.

1.2"You" means the business or person named in the quote. If your quote or a signed agreement says something different from these terms, the quote or agreement applies to that point.

Quotes and scope

2.1A quote is valid for 30 days from the date on it. After that, the price and dates may change.

2.2Each project has a written fixed-price scope. It lists what is included (pages, templates, features, integrations, number of images or audit pages), the revision rounds, the delivery date and what I need from you. Anything not listed is outside the scope.

2.3The project starts when you accept the quote in writing (email is enough) and the deposit is paid.

2.4From-prices on the website are a guide, not an offer. The quote sets the price.

Prices and payment

3.1Prices exclude VAT. Finnish VAT (25.5 %) is added where it applies. Businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT number are usually invoiced under the reverse charge.

Payment schedule
WhatWhen it is invoicedDue
Project deposit, 50 % of the quote owner to confirmWhen you accept the quote14 days net; work starts once it is paid
Project balance, 50 %At delivery14 days net
Monthly services and care plansAt the start of each month14 days net
Hourly work and change requestsMonthly, or at the end of the task14 days net

3.2Large projects may be split into more milestones; the quote then lists them. owner to confirm

3.3Invoices are in euros unless your quote names another currency. Payment is by bank transfer. owner to confirm

3.4Late payments carry interest at the rate set by the Finnish Interest Act, and a reminder fee where the law allows it. If an invoice is more than 30 days overdue, I may pause work until it is paid. owner to confirm

What I need from you

  • Content (text, images, product data, logos) and the rights to use it.
  • Access to the accounts the work needs: hosting, domain, store, ad accounts, analytics, servers or app store accounts. You add me as a user; you do not need to share your own passwords.
  • Feedback and approvals within the times agreed in the quote.

4.1If content, access or feedback arrives late, the delivery date moves by at least the same time. If a project is on hold for more than 60 days because of missing input, I may invoice the work done so far. owner to confirm

Revisions and change requests

5.1The quote names the revision rounds included. A round is one set of collected feedback on a delivered draft, sent in one message.

5.2Extra rounds, and changes that add to or alter the agreed scope, are change requests. They are billed at €95 an hour excluding VAT, or as a fixed add-on price, agreed with you in writing before I start.

5.3Work you ask for outside Finnish working hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00), or as an emergency, is billed at +50 %, €142.50 an hour excluding VAT. It is only done when agreed. owner to confirm

Delivery and acceptance

6.1At delivery you get the agreed result and a short handover note. You have 10 working days to report anything that does not match the scope. The work is accepted when you approve it in writing, when it goes live, or when those 10 days pass without a report. owner to confirm

6.2Faults in my own work that you report within 30 days of acceptance are fixed free of charge. This does not cover changes made by others, plugin or platform updates, or new requests. owner to confirm

Ownership and licences

7.1Your accounts are always yours. Domains, hosting, store, ad, analytics, server and app store accounts are opened in your name, or stay in your name. I work inside them with my own user access, which you can remove at any time.

7.2Code and files transfer on full payment. When the project is paid in full, the rights to the code, designs, texts, 3D source files (including .blend files) and other material made for you in the project transfer to you. Before that, you may use drafts only to review the work.

7.3Third-party components such as themes, plugins, fonts, libraries and stock images stay under their own licences. Paid licences are bought in your name, or transferred to you.

7.4I keep the right to reuse general know-how, techniques and my own generic code snippets that are not specific to you. I show your project in my portfolio only with your written permission. owner to confirm

7.5You confirm that the content you give me does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Third-party costs

8.1The following are paid by you, directly to the provider, and are not part of my fee:

  • software and theme licences, plugins, fonts and stock images;
  • domains, hosting, servers and email services;
  • app store developer accounts and store fees;
  • ad spend on Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok or any other platform;
  • payment provider fees, under your own contract with the provider.

8.2Pikselipolku does not process payments or hold card data for your store; you contract directly with the payment provider. Pikselipolku is an independent studio and is not affiliated with any platform or provider named on this site.

8.3If I pay a small third-party cost for you with your agreement, it is passed on at cost on the next invoice.

Care plans and monthly services

9.1Care plans, SEO, ads management, server care and app maintenance run month to month. What each plan includes, and the response times, are written in the plan.

9.2Either of us can end a monthly service with 30 days written notice, to the end of the following billing month. There is no exit fee. owner to confirm

9.3Hours not used in a month do not carry over, unless the plan says so. Work beyond the plan is billed at the hourly rate, agreed first.

9.4Monitoring and response happen in Finnish working hours unless the plan says otherwise. There is no round-the-clock cover.

Results and outside factors

10.1I do the work with care and to the standards of the trade, but I cannot promise search rankings, ad results, sales, app store approval or accessibility compliance. These depend on search engines, platforms, reviewers, markets and your own decisions.

10.2Platforms change their rules, prices and features. I am not responsible for outages, policy changes, account suspensions or price changes by third parties, but I will help you respond to them at the hourly rate.

Liability

11.1My total liability for a project or service is limited to the fees you have paid for it. For monthly services it is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim. owner to confirm

11.2I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost sales or lost data, except where the law does not allow this to be excluded. owner to confirm

11.3These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Keeping your own backups of business-critical data stays your responsibility unless a care plan says I keep them.

11.4Claims must be made in writing within a reasonable time after you notice the problem. owner to confirm

Confidentiality and personal data

12.1I keep your business information, access details and unpublished material confidential, during the project and after it.

12.2If the work means handling personal data of your customers (for example store orders or form entries), I act as your processor and we sign a data processing agreement. owner to confirm How I handle your own data as a customer is in the privacy policy.

Ending a project early

13.1You can stop a project at any time by telling me in writing. You pay for the work done up to that point, at the hourly rate or the share of the fixed price that is finished, whichever is lower. The deposit is set against that amount. owner to confirm

13.2I can end a project if an invoice is unpaid for more than 30 days after a reminder, or if the work would break the law or a platform's rules.

13.3When a project ends, you get the files for the work you have paid for, and I remove my access to your accounts when you ask.

If you are a consumer

14.1Most customers are businesses. If you buy as a private person, the Finnish Consumer Protection Act applies, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights. Where a term here conflicts with those rights, the law applies.

14.2If you order at a distance (by email or online), you may have a right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask me to start work within that period, you pay for the work done before you cancel. owner to confirm

14.3A consumer can take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) and get advice from the Consumer Advisory Services (kuluttajaneuvonta) in Finland.

Governing law and disputes

15.1These terms and every project under them are governed by Finnish law. owner to confirm

15.2We first try to settle any disagreement by talking. If that fails, disputes are decided by the Pirkanmaa District Court (Pirkanmaan käräjäoikeus) in Tampere. owner to confirm A consumer may also bring a claim in the district court of their home municipality.

Changes to these terms

16.1I may update these terms. The version that applies to a project is the one in force when you accepted the quote. For monthly services, changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they apply, and you can end the service before then.
