Business software that removes the re-keying, not your existing systems

Most businesses do not need a new system, they need the ones they have to talk to each other. I connect tills, online stores, delivery apps and accounting, add the missing pieces, and build custom tools only where nothing off the shelf fits. From €690.

Build, buy or connect?

Your map above, sorted into the three honest answers. Most hand-offs end up in the middle column. Building is the last resort, not the pitch.

your set-up
buy or keep

Buy off the shelf

A product already does the job for a monthly fee, or your current system sells the module.

  • Sales copied into a sheet for reports. Your POS may sell this as a reporting module; compare before building.

In Finnish restaurants, Restolution is the market leader with 4,000+ sites across Finland, Denmark and Norway, and bought Tampereen Kassajärjestelmät in March 2026. For one venue, a subscription POS is the sensible base.

Subscription POS such as SumUp, Zettle or Lightspeed: roughly €30 to €200 a month per venue, plus hardware. Check current prices.

Your map points hereconnect

Connect what you have

Both systems work; the copying between them is the problem.

  • Wolt orders typed into the till. Wolt runs a documented integration programme, so the till stays.
  • Daily till sales typed into accounting. Netvisor, Procountor and Fennoa have APIs; Netvisor's needs a Professional or Premium package, check with Visma.

With one venue, connecting the till to delivery apps and accounting usually removes most of the re-keying.

From €690. Accounting from €1,900 + €39 a month, delivery apps from €2,500 + €49 a month.

build

Build the missing piece

Nothing on the market covers it, and the manual work is big enough to justify code you will maintain.

Nothing on your map lands here yet.

A custom POS for one venue? No. It cannot compete with a €30 to €200 a month subscription, and I will say so in the first call.

Add-ons from €3,900 + €79 a month, custom tools from €8,000, niche POS from €25,000.

Subscription prices change often; check the vendors' current pages. Market details from public deal announcements, checked October 2026.

Finnish rules, built into the software

What a till, report or integration has to respect in Finland. Summaries, not legal advice: check Vero.fi and Finlex for the current text, and confirm with your accountant.

No certified till required

Finland has no certified cash-register requirement, unlike Sweden. Your software still has to produce correct receipts and records.

Receipt contents

Under Act 658/2013, businesses over €10,000 turnover must offer a receipt showing seller name and Business ID, date, a unique ID, items and VAT per rate.

VAT rates as settings

25.5 % general, 13.5 % food and restaurant meals from 1 January 2026, 10 % newspapers, alcohol 25.5 %. Rates are settings, never hard-coded.

Card data stays with the provider

Card payments run through a licensed payment provider's terminal. The software sends an amount and gets a result; it never touches card numbers.

Retention

Accounts and financial statements are kept for 10 years, vouchers such as receipts and Z-reports for 6. Exports are built for both.

Loyalty with consent

Marketing to a loyalty list needs prior consent, with an exception for existing customers that offers an opt-out in every message.

Bring your map to a 30-minute call. You leave knowing what to connect first.

Monthly fees cover hosting, monitoring, updates and fixes when a vendor changes its API. Card payments, delivery-platform commissions and middleware fees are paid to those providers directly.

Questions about custom software

Should I replace my systems or connect them?

Connect them first, in most cases. A till, online store or accounting package your staff already know is rarely the problem; the copying between them is. Replacing a system means migration and retraining. I recommend replacement only when a system blocks a must-have workflow and no integration or add-on can fix it.

Who owns the software you build?

You do. Code I write for you sits in a repository in your own account and is yours on final payment, with documentation and an access list. The systems it connects stay under your own contracts with their vendors, such as your POS supplier, Wolt or your accounting software provider.

What happens if you are unavailable?

Pikselipolku is one person, so the set-up assumes it. Everything is documented, in your repository and on servers you can access. Integrations log every run and alert you as well as me when something fails, and a maintenance plan sets response times. Another developer can take over from the handover kit.
