A technical SEO audit that ends in a ranked fix list

I crawl your site like a search engine would, find what blocks crawling, indexing and speed, and give you a fix list ranked by impact and effort. Written report, one call to walk through it. From €690.

from€690excl. VAT 25.5%. Fixed price, written quote within one working day.

The crawler on the left walks an example site. Press Step or Run, or select any page to inspect it.

What the audit checks

Eight areas, each backed by evidence you can verify yourself: a crawl export, a Search Console screenshot or a raw HTTP response.

Crawling

robots.txt rules, crawl traps from filters and search pages, internal links, depth from the home page.

Indexing

noindex tags, canonicals, and the Page indexing report in Search Console matched against the crawl.

Redirects and status codes

Chains, loops, 404s, soft 404s and 302s that should be 301s, with the internal links that cause them.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Field data at the 75th percentile: LCP good at 2.5 s or less, INP at 200 ms or less, CLS at 0.1 or less.

Structured data

Schema.org markup validated, mismatches with visible content flagged, missing types suggested only where they fit.

International

hreflang return tags, x-default, language and region codes, and canonicals that do not fight hreflang.

JavaScript rendering

Source HTML compared with rendered HTML, so content and links that only appear after scripts run are found.

Sitemaps

XML sitemaps containing only canonical, indexable 200 URLs, with honest lastmod dates.

Broken analytics is outside the audit, but I flag it when I see it; fixing it is GA4, GTM and server-side tracking setup.

A page from a sample report

Every finding has the same four parts: how serious it is, the evidence, the fix and the effort. Re-rank the list to see why the order matters.

Parameter URLs duplicate product titles

Severity
High impact 4 of 5
Evidence
GET /shop/lamp/ 200 <title>Lamp | Example Shop</title>
GET /shop/lamp/?colour=red 200 <title>Lamp | Example Shop</title>
rel=canonical: missing on both
Search Console: 312 URLs under "Duplicate without user-selected canonical"
Fix
Add rel=canonical pointing to the clean product URL on every parameter variant, keep parameter URLs out of the XML sitemap and stop filters linking to them.
Effort
2 to 3 hours

Redirect chain on the SEO services page

Severity
Medium impact 3 of 5
Evidence
GET /services/seo/ 301 Location: /seo/
GET /seo/ 301 Location: /en/seo/
GET /en/seo/ 200
Linked internally from 14 pages
Fix
Redirect /services/seo/ straight to /en/seo/ with one 301, and update the 14 internal links to the final URL so no hop is needed.
Effort
About 30 minutes

Broken internal link to a removed product

Severity
Low impact 2 of 5
Evidence
GET /shop/old-chair/ 404
Linked from: /shop/, /blog/speed-tips/, /blog/speed-tips-2/
Fix
301 the old URL to its closest category and update the three links, so visitors and crawlers never reach the 404.
Effort
About 20 minutes

Impact first suits a site losing traffic now: the biggest problem goes to the top even when it takes longer.

How the audit runs

Read-only access is enough. Nothing on your live site changes until you decide what to fix.

  1. 1

    Access

Read-only Search Console and analytics access, added by you, removable at any time.

  2. 2

    Crawl

A full crawl as a smartphone crawler, with JavaScript rendering on the templates that need it.

  3. 3

    Match

Crawl data matched with Search Console indexing and Core Web Vitals reports, server logs where available.

  4. 4

    Rank

Every finding scored for impact and effort, then ordered so the first fixes pay back first.

  5. 5

    Walk through

A written report and one call to go through it with you or your developer.

Rankings dropped, or pages not indexed? Start with the crawl.

When I would not sell you an audit

A technical audit answers technical questions. Not every traffic problem is one.

  • 01Your site has fewer than 20 pages and Search Console shows them all indexed. A short call costs less than a report that says "fine".
  • 02The pages are crawled and indexed but rank poorly. That is content and authority work, covered on the SEO page.
  • 03You are about to change platform. Plan the migration with redirects first, then audit the new site.

Audit packages

Fixed prices in euros, excluding VAT 25.5%. You own the report, the crawl data and every account.

Questions about technical audits

What does a technical SEO audit include?

A full crawl of your site, a review of Search Console indexing and Core Web Vitals data, and checks on redirects, canonicals, robots rules, sitemaps, structured data, hreflang and JavaScript rendering. You get a written report with evidence for every finding, a fix list ranked by impact and effort, and one call to walk through it.

How long does an audit take?

Usually five to ten working days from receiving access, depending on the size of the site. A brochure site of a few hundred URLs sits at the short end; a store with faceted navigation and several languages takes longer. The delivery date is in the written quote, before any work starts.

Can you implement the fixes?

Yes. I write PHP, run servers and build on WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify and OpenCart, so I can make most fixes myself, from redirects and canonicals to templates and server rules. If your own developer prefers to do them, the report is written so they can work from it directly.
