A WooCommerce store you fully own and that does not crawl

WordPress and WooCommerce with custom PHP where plugins fall short, a server I tune myself, object caching and a fast checkout. For stores that outgrew templates or got slow. From €2,200.

from€2,200excl. VAT. Tuning of an existing store quoted separately.

The hosting stack, layer by layer

I administer servers as well as write PHP, so the fix can happen at the layer that is actually slow.

CDNImages, CSS and scripts served from the edge; HTML cached for guests; cart and checkout always bypass the cache.
Web serverNginx or LiteSpeed with HTTP/2 or HTTP/3, Brotli compression and full-page cache rules that respect WooCommerce cookies.
PHP workersEnough workers for your peak orders, current PHP version, OPcache sized to your plugins, slow-request logging on.
Redis object cacheKeeps database answers in memory so cart, checkout and account pages stop waiting on MySQL.
DatabaseIndexes checked, autoloaded options trimmed, sessions and transients cleaned, HPOS order tables enabled where supported.

Questions about WooCommerce

WooCommerce or Shopify?

Choose WooCommerce when you want to own the code, the data and the server, or need custom features without platform limits. Choose Shopify when you would rather pay a monthly fee and have hosting, security and updates handled. Both sell well; the deciding question is who will maintain the store after launch.

Why is my WooCommerce store slow?

Usually too many plugins, no object cache, an underpowered or badly tuned server, heavy themes and unoptimised images. Cart and checkout pages cannot be page-cached, so database speed matters most there. I measure first, fix the slowest layer, and show you before and after timings.

Can you build custom features?

Yes. I write custom PHP plugins for things like special pricing rules, booking add-ons, ERP or warehouse integrations and extra checkout fields. The code is documented, kept outside the theme so updates do not break it, and handed over to you with the repository.
